LEO JOSEPHS
President
Leo Josephs has over 35 years experience in the real estate business in all aspects of the acquisition, financing, leasing, development and disposition of commercial real estate across multiple property types, including industrial, office, shopping centers, and multi-family residential properties. Upon entering the real estate industry in 1980, Leo recognized a void in the sourcing of OFF-MARKET institutional investment real estate. During the subsequent 40 years, Leo has sourced and closed in excess of $5 billion of institutional real estate.
Leo’s background in accounting and auditing with Arthur Young (predecessor to Ernst & Young) offers a unique perspective on transacting commercial real estate. Leo was a Managing Director in the Capital Advisory Group of Edward S. Gordon (and its successor, Insignia/ESG). Leo has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. Leo speaks five languages namely English, Dutch, German, Afrikaans and Hebrew. Leo is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the states of New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
JOSHUA A. MEISNER
Vice President
Josh Meisner joined Leo Josephs & Company, Inc. (LJCI) in 2006, after interning with LJCI in 2005. Since joining LJCI, Josh has focused on the acquisition of portfolios and individual industrial, multi-family, retail and office buildings. Josh has been involved in the acquisition process including due diligence for industrial portfolios and vacant land for development, both locally and nationally. Josh has closed in excess of $500 million in real estate transactions across the United States.
In addition to his role for LJCI, Josh has managed and leased industrial and office buildings owned and joint ventured by LJCI and its affiliates.
Josh holds a BA degree from the University of Delaware. He has completed various commercial real estate continuing education programs at NYU. Josh is a Licensed Real Estate Broker in New Jersey and License Real Estate Salesperson in New York.
